City Books is an independent bookshop founded and run by Paul and Inge Sweetman. We pride ourselves in promoting old fashion values, whilst using the best of modern technology.

Forthcoming events include readings from David Sedaris, Geoffrey Boycott, Zoe Heller and Will Self, Mark Thomas, Thomas Kineally, Graham Rawle and Susie Boyt, Candace Bushnell and Laurence Rees. Tickets are available from City Books.

City Books stock a wide range of carefully selected books. Subjects include fiction, poetry, children's books, cookery, art, business and travel. We also stock an extensive range of local books.

We are open 9.30 to 6.00 Monday to Saturday, and 11.00 to 16.30 Sunday.
