Andrew Motion introduces his new book ‘Silver: Return to Treasure Island’, a sequel to Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic. Beautifully written, as you would expect from the former Poet Laureate, it follows the fortunes of Jim Hawkins’ son and his return to Treasure Island with the bewitching daughter of Long John Silver.

Really quite different to his other work, this is certain to be one of the novels of the year.

As well as talking about ‘Silver’ Andrew will also be reading some of his poetry.
